Florida 8(a) Alliance 7th Annual Federal Contracting Conference
Growing Small Business into the Future
The month of May ended with two very successful days for the Florida 8(a) Alliance in celebrating seven years of giving back to the small business community. On May 30th and 31st, over 200+ small businesses, contractors, government representatives, large business representatives and Exhibitors gathered at the Wynham Lake Buena Vista Hotel, in Lake Buena Vista, Florida to capitalize on both networking and educational opportunities.
Our focus this year were topics that dealt with marketing and developing a competitive proposal for small businesses. Additionally, going from market research to pricing to understanding source selection, as you work toward gaining contracts in the competitive market.
Highlights from Wednesday, May 30th Itinerary
This ½ day’s events included the latest updates from the SBA for Small Businesses, a Market Research and Capture session and an evening Welcome Reception for all conference attendees. New to this year’s conference and serving as prelude to our Welcome Reception was our 1st Members Round Table Discussion. This “meet and greet” session provided an excellent networking opportunity for new and current members. Topics discussed included unique marketing ideas and approaches as well as methods/strategies useful in landing contracts with large businesses and government agencies.
Highlights from Thursday, May 31st Itinerary
